On Sunday, March 28, the GLCC/Pride Center will participate in a 10-kilometer fund raising walkathon through Fort Lauderdale to address the AIDS crisis in our community. We’ll be joined by thousands of others who understand that we need to take action now to halt the escalating spread of HIV/AIDS in south Florida.

ALL THE MONEY THAT GLCC/PRIDE CENTER TEAM RAISES WILL RETURN TO OUR AGENCY TO BE USED IN HIV SERVICES.

GLCC/Pride Center “Stars of the Rainbow” Call for Nominations

The GLCC/Pride Center is accepting nominations for honorees  for “Stars of the Rainbow”.  The event will be held in March of 2010! This year’s event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six which is located at 2301 S.E. 17th Street Causeway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.

Nomination of honorees is available October 1 thru October 23, 2009. Honorees will be announced on November 6, 2009. Please submit your nomination(s) in following categories:

(1) Volunteer or Activist Star of the Year

Honoring individuals who exemplify the spirit of volunteerism and/or activism, and who have also been a benefit to the Center and/or the LGBT community.

(2) Community Star of the Year

Honoring individuals or groups that represent the LGBT community in a positive light, have supported the Center and/or the community, have shown a true sense of commitment and dedication and who are true STARS!

(3) Business, Corporate, Media or Government Star of the Year

This category honors a business, corporation, agency, media/publication or government entity that has supported the efforts of the Center and the LGBT community.
