DESIGNED FOR:  

Attendees who own a cat or dog a want to learn more about their pet’s health, nutritional needs, and appropriate exercise routines.  Also while being informed about your pets needs, there will be suggestions on how you can look at your own diet more carefully and make some very cost effective changes.  If you want to learn how to be fit with your pet and get more quality out of both your lives, this is the course for you.

PROGRAM FOCUS:

  • Understanding what health means and how to keep your pet and yourself healthy.
  • Examining the labels, what are you buying, what you are really eating and do the labels accurately represent the foods you and your pet are consuming.
  • Comparisons of raw/live foods vs. commercially prepared foods, some suggestions and recipes on how to prepare live food for you and your pet.
  • Assessing the digestive, endocrine and cardiovascular systems with regards to how you and your pet process foods.
  • The value of supplements/antioxidants and the importance of fruits, vegetables and grains.
  • Assessing biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system and the value of exercise/rehab for both you and your pet.
  • Evaluated common conditions/alignments that affect both you and your pet.  Plus examining canine breeds and what conditions are common to these breeds.

OUTLINE:

  • The costs associated with not being healthy and how to reduce those costs with alternative procedures and lifestyle modifications.
  • A basic review of the different food groups: carbohydrates, proteins and fats and the role that each plays in maintaining health.
  • Understanding the difference between natural, organic and whole foods, also the role that grains play in the diet and what happens organically in their preparation.
  • A basic review of whole food supplements/antioxidants and their necessity.
  • Review of the digestive tract, enzymes, ph and temperature changes that affect how foods are assimilated and absorbed.
  • A review of toxicity and how these toxins reveal themselves through the skin and are associated with some common conditions.
