Outcome:

Do you like paying a plumber $75 for a house call to fix your leaky toilet? Do you want to $ave on repairing that electrical repairs such as an outlet that doesn’t hold the plug any longer? Are you tired of those dripping faucets, leaking sink traps and all those other pesky repairs that need to be fixed? Then this course is for you!

Fix-N-Repair for Homeowners has been designed to help solve your minor repair problems but also to give you the hands-on-experience that leads toward giving you the self confidence to do the repairs.  The four major areas to be covered in the course are: a) electrical, b) plumbing, c) walls & ceilings, and d) exteriors (decks, patios, walks, yards, etc.). The direction the class takes is primarily driven by questions students ask! So, come prepared with all the fix-n-repair questions you have.

Jim was raised in a family that owned Johnson’s Electric & Plumbing in Northwest Ohio. He was trained by their father who also taught electrical and plumbing students at Northwest University in Ohio. In addition, Jim had his own handyman service in Washington DC for many years. Also, he taught biology and mathematics classes for the Fairfax County Public Schools. Evenings he taught the adult education Fix-N-Repair for the Homeowner classes. The school system cited him several times for his expertise and delivery methods.
